Dorset Deaf Children's Society

On Saturday 23rd April Dorset DCS visited Adventure Wonderland for a great day out and as always this venue has proved to be very popular for families! 134 members came along to enjoy all the fantastic rides and attractions throughout the park including speedy rides like Turbo Teacups and Wild Bill’s Runaway Train through to more gentle rides like Curvy Caterpillars and Flying Elephants and also Animals Cuddle Corner.  Indoors the Wild Thing Aztec play centre was packed with imaginative activities, there was a maze for all the family to experience and a show to keep the children entertained.  

 

We were able to secure the upstairs area of Wild Thing just for DDCS families so we had a base for families to meet up with each other, talk to trustees and help themselves to any of the literature from the DDCS Support Literature Library. Although the sun did shine the weather was a bit chilly so our meeting base did get very busy at lunchtime. Thank you to Adventure Wonderland for letting us have this space.

 

There were also regular appearances of all the Alice in Wonderland characters and Alice, The Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts made a visit to us for a photo opportunity.
